DUNZO

omfg im done with ze emkat

i don’t know what or what i’m not allowed to say about it lol

i mean, i have a lot to say about it but i think if i talk about it at all and they catch me they’re going to terminate my score o_O

the testing centers are so cray

first u walk in and they take ur id

u have to put all ur stuff in a locker

ur not allowed to touch ur phone or its immediate termination

they take ur fingerprints

they use a metal detector on u

you have to sign in and sign out even if ur going to pee

NO WATCHES

i couldn’t even eat my snacks cuz i put them with my phone…

i was so hungry

they give u scratch paper and 2 pencils

u can bring earplugs but they provide some tightass noisecancelling headphones

as for the actual test..

i don’t remember much of the content but i remember dying in the physical sciences portion. i had one passage left and saw that i had 1 minute to finish, so i had to randomly mark a couple in the last 2 seconds. not expecting over an 8 for that… :( verbal was the best because you don’t have to study for that lol. but that being said, it’s been a while since i’ve had my verbal thinking cap on so expecting like an 11. and for biological sciences… i literally do not remember anything. i think my brain was dead at that point. not a good sign for my score lol. but i’m hoping for 11… that way i give myself a 30~~ hehe. sigh.

studying tips: if you’ve taken all the premed course and a couple more bio courses, you are COVERED. i’m so glad i finished ochem only recently so i remembered most of the concepts even though i straight up did not study ochem cuz i hate ochem. taking recombinant dna and ochem lab and biochem also helped a lot… not too much need to memorize equations, there is a LOT of passage reading and analysis. also felt pretty lucky that there was a lot of neuro and developmental bio compared to.. idk immunology or kidney stuff. thank goddddddd.

basically, you don’t have to study too long for mkats, like everyone makes u think… BUT i may be swallowing my words come june 11th, so take everything on here with a grain of salt! lol.

i also took the trial section and it now says that you have to actually try (i’m guessing you have to stay for the full 45 min and get 50% correct?) in order to get the $30 amazon giftcard. i am so grateful i’m not taking the mkat in 2015, because that shit was HARDDD. i only had biochem and some gel electophoresis shit to analyze but it was just so hard. i hope i get the gift card, cuz then i can buy this!

I’VE BEEN WAITING A LONG TIME FOR YOU BABY

I’M FREEEEEE!!!

ahhh the feeling after finishing the mkat… WHOOOOO

I CAN DO THIS

I’ve been so wrapped up in doubtful whispers that I lose sight of what I’ve accomplished. I play myself as the victim in every unfortunate circumstance when instead I can take action and help myself.

At this moment, social life is not the priority. I have a whole gap year to mess around. I committed to certain things, so I have to make my best effort.

Bite the bullet. Be decisive. Use your time wisely.

Last quarter. LETS GOOOOO.

Since LA Koreans are all abuzz about the addition of Ryu HyunJin to the LA Dodgers roster, I decided to post this gem, lest we forget about Park ChanHo, the first Korean pitcher in American/National League history. :)
